About laboratory

The laboratory is equipped with workstations using a rapid‑prototyping system for development of electric motor control, allowing control algorithms from MATLAB/Simulink to be uploaded directly to the power converter’s processor. Each workstation includes a test bench with two coupled motors, power converters, and measuring instruments (oscilloscope, current probes, differential voltage probes). An asynchronous motor, a BLDC motor and a stepper motor are available.

The lab also houses a FESTO DIDACTIC training kit for pneumatic and hydraulic control. The kit is extended with modules for relay‑logic control (contact diagrams) and a FATEK B1z‑10MR PLC. Laboratory PCs are equipped with FluidSim for pneumatic system simulation and WinProLadder for PLC programming.

The laboratory was renovated and modernized in 2024; the renovation was completed by:
